PayZapp is a digital payment solution that makes it easy to pay for ferry journeys without using physical equipment in the car. You create it either in the app or on the web, link your number plate and your payment card, and then PayZapp takes care of the rest when you go through check-in. It is free to set up, and both commuter customers and occasional travellers can use the solution, depending on which route and product they are travelling with. PayZapp was launched to make the journey easier, so you can focus on getting away.
What can I use PayZapp for
PayZapp works as an alternative payment method to BroBizz and PayByPlate. It is not a physical device, but a digital payment solution that automatically registers your vehicle at check-in.
If you are travelling between Denmark and Sweden, you should be aware that PayZapp can only be used between Helsingør and Helsingborg and not for transit journeys such as Puttgarden or Rostock. You will also see two different PayZapp solutions in the app, because ØRESUNDSLINJEN has its own PayZapp, which only applies on that particular route.
What should I be aware of
There are some limitations you need to know before you set sail. You cannot create a PayZapp with 'desired' number plates such as "FANØLINJEN" or Norwegian number plates, as they are not supported in the system. If you try to create a PayZapp with one of these plate types, the setup will not be completed.
